Ok first of all I have all the beard growing potential of Gail Porter so apologies if I've incorrectly identified this old girl :dont know:

When I took my car in for her nice and warm winter boots I stumbled upon this rare beauty. In desperate need of some love and attention, but look beyond the obvious neglect (and over zealous audio fetish ), and the old dame could still turn a few heads... :thumb:

as the bonnet is up, did you get a shot of the build/options sticker?

I suppose it might have been ordered in Pearlescent white :wack:

I may have to apologise - it looks like a UK registration, but it could be german too!

Bu99er - I did take a shot of the boot but never thought to look at/for the sticker :frustrated:

Note the tow rope in the plastic bag (and oil leak at the back in one of my earlier shots) suggesting there may be trouble ahead...

It is a German registered car, these pics were taken at OPC Mainz...

Cool - I'm going to get that plate made up german stylee, and pretend to be german if I get stopped by the rozzers :hand:

The moustache will make it all seem plausible.

I think your moustache would be obligatory with those seat covers, they are absolutely fabulous!

Aside from the rear spoiler the exterior seems OK, liking the colour a lot. The inside could do with a bit of a nip and tuck and shampoo and set...but wow.. those seat covers.
I've gone all misty eyed for a bygone era.

Good plan :thumb:

...just spotted the fake german plates as well.... oh dear...

I also did a double-take on seeing the extraneous "H" at the end of the number, but it's a special symbol given to cars over 30 years old, which then get to pay lower taxes and have lower Insurance premiums.

PS: I believe that the fact the car is over 30 years old also means that it pre-dates pearlescent paints, so it wouldn't have had that paint job from the factory.

Wow those seats are something or what.
