My '97 993 Carrera needed a few job to get ready for a run out to the Nurburgring, that I was having issues with

- Oil Cooler
- Handbrake
- ISV

plus needed a
- Brake Fluid Change
- Gearbox Oil Change

and a few other minor jobs to keep the car in tip top condition.

The car went to www.porsche-torque.com which is based in Uxbridge and cover all of the West London and Heathrow area, run by Sid Spanner, former Lead Service Technician from RSJ Sports Cars and Porsche Hatfield.

A great job, done on time and right 1st time, at a very competitive price, what else can you ask for! I now have full confidence in my car for a 1000 miles road trip. :)

Porsche-Torque are a new outfit, but feature the best technicians in the trade doing it for themselves. Their unit may be tucked away on Uxbridge Industrial estate and isn't a show case arena as you would expect from other more established operators.

To give you an ideal of how their reputation is already established within the trade, they have in the work shop at the moment
- RUF 997
- 997 GT3
- 996 C4S
- 993 Carerra
- 911 3.2 Carrera
- 911 SC
- 356

However if you're not looking at an OPC to do your work, then I can't think of a finer Independent Specialist to look after your 993.

www.porsche-torque.com get a 100% thumbs up from myself and the site.

Yeah I was looking at that! £50 for brake fluid change. Good stuff. Nice find. :thumb:

Does indeed sound good, £750 for a clutch change on a C2's gotta be cheap hasn't it?

Shame as ever they're the 'wrong' side of London

Edited ; Are, +the dreaded (VAT)

Blimey, that part of the world is over-run with decent indies......!

I met Sid on a number of occasions for bites to eat / pints when he was with RSJ
.. He's a real good guy , straight talking no BS type.

Its great to hear he's doing well .. good on ya Sid!!

This could be an interesting proposition for me, living in the a*sehole of nowhere without a decent indy for my next project. I fly out of Heathrow at least once a month, this could be very handy!

I'd just like to add a huge  for Sid and Colin too - thanks guys!

Cripey! Their price for a 24K service with plug change is cheaper than my indy charges for a 12K.
:?

Agree, that does sound very cheap.
Even with the vat its about £200 cheaper than the average 24k service price

Sid came out to PPI my car for my buyer ( unfortunately, the buyer lost his job, after I'd taken a deposit ). Very nice bloke, and very knowledgable, also commented on my 993 was the best he'd seen for quite some time for the money, and couldn't find anything wrong with my car apart from the sunroof felt trim was worn :floor:
I wonder what he'd think now that I've spent another 1k on it? :?:

Sid 'Spanner' :? No duff :dont know:

Porsche Specialist Heathrow, excellent 993 servicing

I used Porsche Torque for a major 48k service recently and was impressed by the service from Sid and Colin. Sid correctly diagnosed an oil leak from my oil sender (peanuts <£100 fix) rather than some BS another reputable indy (>£1k) told me!
Will be returning back to him next year too! Highly recommended.
