Perhaps it has mice? (which presumably if they had eaten the loom would have rendered it wireless :coat:)

Only went for US80k

From Autoevolution today:

Compute experts and cool cars really don't mix very often, a fact made abundantly clear by the fact that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg drives an old Acura sedan. However, ex Microsoft boss Bill Gates does have a strong passion for Porsches, surpassed only by Jerry Seinfeld.

This car, a 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo used to be owned by mister Gates and is a true modern classic by al standards. The car has hit the auction block soon, and we were be surprised it only sold for $80,000 in Vienna, the capital of Austria.

Of course, seeing as this is a true classic Porsche, excellent for the summer road rallies, it has value all its own without taking into account celebrity ownership. It's got a 300 horsepower 3.3-liter engine and is much shorter than today's 911.

Love that! Reminds me of team America World Police:

Cairo... that's in Egypt.

I remember my first trip to the US years ago and a shop assistant said she loved my accent and asked me where I was from. "London", I said, to which she responded "... London.... Ohio?".

In deepest Hicksville in the US a few years ago when a shop assistant heard my accent I was asked what species I was ?! When I hesitated not knowing quite how to answer she followed up with "what culture are you?"

I assumed they had more aliens than Brits visit!

+1, +1

Also, it's electronics had a virus and it needed a software-update, and there were rotten Apple cores all over the place!

How poxy is that?

No wonder he invented DVD's and got the hell outta there. The boathouse is tiny, as is the pool, and the balcony's at the rear are limited by the width of a house so tiny I'd feel guilty having pets. Betcha it's miles from the chip shop too.

I DO however like the slide.

Surely that can't be his house?? It's got a small drive straight off the street! I would imagine that it should have a huge long drive with security etc? This is nothing... Weird... Maybe this is his butler's residence?
:dont know:

When he owned that car it was the late 1980's and it was already a ten year old car. The car, the house, and his status at the time probably all match up?
