PostPosted: Sun May 06, 2012 6:37 am    Post subject: How much does a 2006 c2s manual coupe weigh? Reply with quote

Hi guys I need to know the approximate weight of my car for the dynolicious app as I've been doing a few test runs.

I had used the autotrader gross weight of 1820kg but that must be wrong as the app is saying my car has 382whp (ie heavier car needs more power to get the same time run).

I did a few runs and did 0 - 60 in 4.52secs with 0 - 100 in 9.61secs and 1/4 mile in 12.39secs @ 113mph. This was with sport on, tc off and a manual launch at 2500 rpm. Does that sound about right for a 2006 c2s? The app is supposed to be very accurate as long as it's calibrated and securely positioned which it was.

I just need the correct weight of my car to work out the approximate bhp, thanks in advance.

Remember that manufacturer weights are for minimum spec, you'd be surprised just how lardy the 'normal' spec cars are compared.

Unladen (DIN) = 1,420kg
Unladen (EC) = 1,495kg

EC = DIN + 68kg driver (!?) and 7kg luggage

Thanks I don't know where autotrader got their 1820kg weight from, that explains why my bhp estimate was too high though - I had the total weight set at 1930kg to allow for 90kg (my weight) and 20kg for a 1/3 of a fuel tank.

Will have to put these new figures in and give the old girl a few more hard blasts, will update with te new results and dynograph once done!

Unladed is with full fuel (and all other fluids), all standard equipment (including tools and spare tyre, where appropriate).
