Water in Front Boot of 997.2

Water is appearing in the boot floor under the trim. Have checked boot seal is good and rodded out the 2 drain holes next to the battery compartment. Have checked with a running hose that water is now flowing through them satisfactorily. Are there any other drain holes that could be blocked, so leading to water ingress? How do I get to them or is this one for the specialist?

Or could there be another culprit?

Funny, I found some brownish water in my 997.2 under the tyre inflator device the other week.

Anyone?

Same thing happened to me, killed my air compressor , it's fresh water and not screen wash. :mechanic:

Out of interest, are you guys parking your cars in a garage or do you leave out overnight? Just wondering if the above only happens when driving in the rain or each time it rains.

Outside. It's fresh rainwater as for the other posters, not a leak from the windscreen reservoir or radiator. As I said in the original post, I've already cleared the two drain holes next to the battery. But is there another one I've missed?

Update: I've found two new drainage holes tucked in the extremes of the battery compartment (making 4 in total) so I've rodded them out as well and let's hope for the best.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have the same issue (drains are clear still leaking)

Sorted last year during service, Revolution Porsche in Brighouse West Yorkshire. Thank you Scot super 911 guru :D

Probably the same on the 997.2, but on the 997.1 there's a grommet at the between the battery and the rear of the boot for some cables that may fail and cause leaking into the boot.

I had a similar issue last year, and had considered fixing the flooding with a carefully aimed shotgun after rodding all the drain holes, but an OPC diagnosed the problem. The grommet is not immediately visible

I too have considered the Beretta approach! I had the hose on the car last week and thought id sorted it but after a heavy rainfall at the weekend theres a little puddle again  I had the battery out this morning but didn't notice anything adrift. Will hook it out again. Ive found a few people with the issue now so I know I'm not alone. Two people mentioned they had it fixed gratis by OPC but I doubt ill be in luck

Do you know what the cause was?

The grommet was replaced FOC in the end, it was just annoying as it must have been behind the only bit of boot trim I couldn't remove - the plastic clasp just hove the carpet at the rear of the boot. Didn't want to resort to brute force to remove it!!

Mines coming in in this lower corner The shelf area above with the brake servo is bone dry though.

Was the grommet around here?

I wonder if the 997.2 differs much in this area to the 997.1?
