Porsche 911 with a big V8 in the back, how bizarre is that! Porsche spoons us nothing but boxer 6 cylinder engines in the 911, but the German tuner RUF explain they prefer a self-developed V8 with 550 hp. How cool is that! the answer is VERY cool!
Based on the previous generation 911 (997) RUF has also already shown us a 911 V8 in the 997 http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=51962, but today at the Geneva Motor Show we see that the V8 simply fits into the new 991!
A 4.5-litre V8 that RUF states develops 550hp and a top speed of 199mph.
