NSFW, Porsche Carrera GT Replica

I love the way they've seamlessly merged photos of the replica with the real thing. You really cannot tell the difference.

Amazing work and totally worth all the effort and expense, I want one so badly it hurts.

"The 'Chanace' To Change Your Life Forever" and "Finally The Masterpiece Is Finished"

(I honestly haven't laughed so hard all week.)

What an abomination!

It is a replica then? Looks the business.

Love the picture of the bloke in jeans and t shirt cutting the car in half, 'one of our specialists' :floor:

what an utter piece of s**t...why...why...why...

even if you downed a few stiff drinks, poked yourself in both eyes, then really squint it still looks nothing like a CGT......

Why does it look like it is already sagging!

(or is that because extending a zinc-dipped mild-steel chassis with finest* stainless steel was always going to end in a metallurgist's tears?)

I'm no welder so I ask is it even possible to weld very hard stainless steel to mild steel :?:

Not sure if they did weld it - perhaps just gaffer tape :dont know:

The SS would be much more brittle, that is for sure.

Obviously their material skills are as a good as their eyesight.

yes but the beauty of this system is, by picking up a front end damaged and a rear end damaged couple of vehicles for a few $, you can cut and shunt ANY two boxters together to produce your dream car.

Why the hell didn't someone think of this before......

What about the Porsche warranty :?:

Surely a BoxSSter :dont know:

WTF?
Some of the crappiest welding I have seen! No where near enough re-inforcing done there!?!
Oh, and it looks absolute rubbish too!!

:eek:ut:

Not sure what's funnier, the fact that they are taking themselves seriously, or that anyone would actually believe that this is a GT :floor:

I also spotted the mix of the real car with their own version. Half tempted to email them and ask them what the costs are and can they make me one like the real one in their video. Nice music though.

~ Maxie :eh!:

Best glorified cut and shut I've ever seen, certainly brightened my day up to no end. :floor:
As for the welded SS to Mild steel the answer is yes, you'd use a SS rod, obviously the Porsche rust warranty would take some blagging!!!

All the best for the new year all.
