Dream911 said:I`m not an expert and I`m sure a quick google would give you the right answer, but I think the 930 came out about 1977 and went through to 1989. It was a 4 speed up until 1989 when a 5 speed box came out.
Then in 1991 the 964 3.3 turbo was released with a revised 930 3.3 engine.
Then in 93 the 964 3.6 turbo was relased.

You are about right Olly except I think it came out in 1974/5 as opposed to 1977. It was available at the same time as the 3.2 and SC. It was a 3 litre at launch until about 1978 when it moved up to a 3.3. Production stopped in 1989 at which point they had upgraded to the 5 speed G50 gearbox and also launched a few special editions, the SE and the flatnose.

So what size engine did the 77-89 930 have, a 3.0 or 3.3?
Also, could the 964 T 3.3 be called a 930? Same question to the 3.6 T?
Sorry for all the questions
Cheers :thumb:
