As you can see the lights will be much like the ones used on the 918. The wing is much like the one on the Panamera. It is still not really clear if this car will get a folding hardtop. The patents, the bigger boot and taller wheelbase could be reasons to say that it will. It will have to be a very innovative roof though.

You can say that again....can you imagine all that folded weight behind the back seats along with the engine? I'm guessing it's not going to perform as well around corners with the hood down as it would when the hood is up. But then again you don't buy a cab for enthusiastic motoring do you?

Aside from that, it is a beautiful looking design.

I had a Cab a few years back, but it had to go, as i found the coupe had much sweeter lines.

Now that I see that rendering....ME WANTS ONE

How about going down the Mazda MX5 route, with it's folding (hard) plastic roof?

Doesn't sound that nice? How about a carbon reinforced plastic (CRP) folding roof?

Now that would get the CF fan boys going, and weigh next to nothing.

these renderings look nice:

And possible composite roof design (if these are the eventual design patents)

Which might explain why the fabric on this roof appears so taught.

It is either fabric-on-composite cosmetic (ie eventual production design to differentiate cab from coupe) or may even be a camouflage (ie temporary cladding).
