Well, not been on this forum for years as I forgot my username. Found it in the end in an email from 2006 in the name of an old girlfriend I was seeing - feels weird typing her name in as the username - she is now Lauren Clark I think - funny how times change.

Anyway guys, i'm known as musclecarmad on pistonheads - here is a pic of my near concours 53k mile white supersport convertible. It has a detailed engine bay, has had a new hood and new clutch and has wanted for nothing - its just having a new major service as we speak for its Christmas present.

Hope you like

Dude - it's illegal to only post one picture of such a nice car, sort it out! :food:

(PS - if you ask a moderator nicely they can change your username for you, if you want it changed that is)

thanks guys - ill put more pics up when i get some time tonight hopefully

the number plate is known as a 'single single' which are very rare - think there is only about 200 left in the UK - you see a few around Harrods such as L1 on the Maybach etc but its rare to spot them - I don't think I have ever seen one on a Porsche although there was a carrera GT with X8 on a year or two back but the plate has since sold.

if a mod can change my username to musclecarmad that would be appreciated and send me an email etc when done so i'm no longer a girls name!

wanted to log in here for ages but if you click 'forgot password' then it doesn't just need your email address but it needs your username too which I didn't know hence being locked out for years!! finally typed 911uk into my email search thing and got my username after 3 years.

here we go guys - no decent pics of engine as yet
its had a new hood, new clutch and is going in for a major service in a week (doesn't need it but its its xmas pressie) and since the pics I have had it detailed so it looks amazing.

will get some more pics when the weather gets better - for the eagle eyed amongst you you will spot its been slightly lowered.

let's see your pics.

the pics of mine haven't come out that well sadly!

cheers

thanks del,

yeah i always fancy white cars - I think they really stand out.

White 3DR Cosworth
White Escort Cosworth
White Lamborghini Countach
White 205 GTi

All the best 80s cars look good in white.

For me it had to be a cabrio as its a fair weather car and has a little more presence than a coupe however they aren't meant to be as good a drivers car etc.

There is a white supersport convertible with 49k on the clock for sale on pistonheads.

Cheers
Lloyd

I think that belonged to a mate of mine from South Yorkshire, if its the same car you purchased a really nice example

He did indeed Dozzer he mentioned he knew you for some reason when we were chatting - its a great car and the previous owner is a nice guy to boot.

I'm only in west yorkshire so its not far away - got a bloody bus lane fine on the way back in it though - i drive to sheffield all the time in a dark audi and the first drive in a white porsche i got a ticket - didn't even know i'd gone in the wrong lane. Reminds me of a time at uni my mate had a 996 so we were out in leeds one night and got pulled over twice in it for no real reason - that's a downside with Porsche's they seem to get unwanted attention.

ED is a top guy and always keeps his cars in great condition. If you get to Harewood this year I look forward to seeing you there.. Sure Ed will bring the 996 Turbo and hopefully I will have found a replacement for the 930 although finding a replacement is proving rather difficult :thumb:

i'll try to get there this year - come say hi if you see the car.

pistonheads show tomorrow - going in a daily driver though due to weather etc.
