oil level measurement

Can anyone get a sensible reading from the graphic oil measurement? On my 996 turbo it seemed to work perfectly well but on the GT3 it rarely gives the same reading twice in a row. Is there a technique (apart from the obvious "read the manual" which I have done.)

Not sure about the GT3 but on my normal 911 C2 the readings looks consistent. When in the garage which is flat it always shows full and when in the drive way it shows one line down and that has been always the same. Maybe the oil sensor is not functioning properly

"always shows full" because it doesn't use any oil?

GT3 is dry sumped so I am assuming it's measuring the level in the tank?

Yep... my lover (hope :thewife: is not watching) does not use any oil (3.5K miles and it still happy).
