I have a 2006 US spec C2.1 fitted with the standard 55w H7 low beam and 65w H9 high beam halogen bulbs. I want brighter lights but do not want to go to the expense of retrofitting the Xenon setup.

What are the highest wattage halogen bulbs I can use?

I drive with daytime running lights on, i.e. the low beam is on all th etime.

I suppose the limiting factors would be alternator output, wiring guage, headlam housing materials, bulb holder/socket materials?

There are 75w and even 100w bulbs on th emarket, but I don't want to do any damage ot the car or its components by using too high a wattage bulb.

The blue tinted bulbs give off a whiter light (albeit of reduced intensity due to the tinting) and this may be th eway to go. Any suggestions?

what you'll find is that anything over 55w will blow the fuse

and over 55w is not road legal

Get proper HID Xenons
