Hi,

New to this forum and I can see there's a wealth of experience and info available from the membership, wonder if you can help me with a couple of questions;-

A 997 fitted with sports chrono pack but std exhaust- to have a Porsche switchable sports exhaust fitted will it be straightforward exhaust fit only ? ie will any wiring/relay's whatever already be fitted but just require connection? Rough cost for this? any ideas?

Also regarding Cruise, does the 997 have all the wiring etc fitted and is it a straightforward fitting of stalk or is more required estimation re costs?

Thanks for any guidance

Steve

The wiring to switch the PSE is not fitted as standard, even if you have the Sports Chrono pack. Your OPC will relieve you of approximately £1600 in order to fit a PSE for you, including wiring it into your Sports switch.

I took the alternative approach and bought a PSE from eBay for £500 and fitted it myself. I too have the Sports Chrono option, but decided I wanted the noise all the time (like many people on here) and didn't bother wiring the exhaust in at all.

As for Cruise - yes it can be retro-fitted. You can either pay an independent specialist to do it for you or do it yourself for just under £400. Full details here... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=17623
