hi there

going to try out a revo re-map
and a v-tune re map,

ive managed to trail them.

we shall see how is the better one on performance and economy.

So just how long have you had the car?

I've never heard of the VTune, their claims are a little optimistic to say the least and if you want to trust your car to them then go ahead and post your views.

I've got a Simtis map (from the founder of Revo) and have been very impressed with the results.

It's been said on your previous threads that NA chip-tuning often results in very small changes, the gains are very hard to achieve (and find) and I'd rather go with the experienced tuner than one that just applies generic mapping in the hope of gains.

Let us know how it goes, would be interesting as I dont know much about V-tune

there are a few options as well, with other established choices which depends on what part of the country you are in

v tune no good

my friend has his 2003 re-mapped by v tune and the engine light
came on. now the engine is knocking its tits off after racing
a my other friend who owns a 500 bhp cossie. i wont be going to v tune.
i am going to have a revo fitted tomorrow morning and i will be
dyno testing it a week later after the ecu has adapted it self.I dont
think i will go to dms because of the service i got over the phone.
they were rude. so it aint happening.

Thanks for the heads-up on the V Tune.

Get a baseline prior to having the remap done, just make sure you are running the same fuel (preferably >97 octane) before and after.
