Will a PCM 2.1 disk work on an MY05 997?

My current disk is 10.2004

I have an opportunity to buy a PCM 2.1 DVD (05.2007)

Will it work in my 01/05 997 or do I need an upgrade???
 
I've noticed from posts on other forums that I need a CD based software upgrade on the actual "head unit" before I can use a PCM 2.1 DVD

Allegedly, the upgrade using the CD's is free at any OPC... I shall make enquiries tomorrow, but should anybody be aware of the location of a free copy :? feel free to let me know about it!
 
I was offered a second hand PCM unit for a 997, but it had no dvd disc, i found a disc on Ebay, But my firendly OPC technician assured me that there are different types of disc for different years,
Check very carefully as there are lots of different poart no's
