holes in one side of the brake disks in the front that is, they were nearly totally blocked,

no wonder I have cracks, tis my own fault I am sure, it would explain a lot,

suggest air hose after each track day, otherwise it sets like concrete

i dont know is the honest awnser,

however this is the first time I have ever cleaned any out on any of my 911's, and everyone has had to have new brakes, so maybe it is causing my problems,

it was really solid in there

Holes help disappate the heat generated to aid cooling, when they get blocked it somewhat reduces the colling ability, which is why I ahve always blasted out brake dust when it gets clogged, air horse or screw bit is fine

Cracking will happen anyway as discs wear over time a common feature of Porsche discs, but prolonged trackdays obviously increase the effect

on my old 993 I used to get through a set of discs in a year as at the end of the day the pads and fuild had a higher temp rating than the meatl in the discs

overall nothig to worry about, just another addition to the TLC routine

Rob,

it is on the list, but I want to get max out of my present ones, they arent warped, stopping power, is on par, and if I can get one more just one more set of pads I would be happier, I want value for money before i spunk £2k
