Apologies for this subject but we haven't had a tyre debate for a while now.

There are quite a few 996tt's on the forum now and I was wondering what tyres are being used. Currently mine is on Pilot Sports and they have been pretty good being both durable and predictable in all weather.

Opinions please......

This has to be the first time Dave has put '996tt' and not '996 TT'.

Sorry Dave, back to your tyre worry !

Driven a few various Porsches on the michelins and liked them. I'd say stick with 'em unless you're after a track tyre.

Conti's a bit hard and Pirelli opinion is polarised - either like 'em or loathe 'em.

Had Pirelli's on my 996 Targa (Sorry Dan should that be 996targa ? ) and used to go through a set of rears every 4/5000 miles. They weren't that brilliant in the wet either.

Are the Conti's quite bouncy then?
