Hi,

Currently driving a 2004 BMW 330 Diesel coup but would like to make the step up to a second hand 997 C2 S. Truth be told the Beemer is actually the old mans (I work for him) so one of the perks is that he is prepared to fit the bill when it comes to my transport! I'm not a spoilt brat, really!! :)

The 997 is definitely the shape I've got to have as the 993 is too old and I never liked the way either the mk1/2 996 looked. Though I've not really spoken to the old boy about it, I'm guessing realistically 60k is his budget. I'm guessing we could get betweem 16k to 20k for the Beemer as a part ex.

Thing is, for me the aero bodykit is an absolute must (all about the fixed wing) but apparently it costs something like 5k, which is just insane money for a bodykit! Are there any respectable Porsche tuners/stylists in the London region (north preferrably) who could fit a replica aero kit for real world money?

Also, what about ipod connectivity? I've currently got an Alpine stereo with iPod functionality but I would want to keep all the standard kit on the Porsche as I have experienced quite a lot of dramas with aftermarket ICE upgrades on my current car.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

C

You will soon discover that most things 'Porsche' are expensive! Aerokits are available on the cheap, but buyer beware... they are not always original Porsche parts and are inferior knock off clones.

There are loads of these companies who advertise in the Porsche magazines. Some are better than others!

Hi,

There are second hand C2 997's with aero kits to be had. I would not go for cheap after market. The better after market specialists cost more if you are talking RUF or Gembella.

Several iPOD units out there. Again source a 997 with the PCM other wise you will have problems with retrofitting and the cost will be increased.

Alan
