thanks

Hmm.......

I think the car would need to a bit cheaper than say Black or Grey trim !

With some silver bits it would not look too bad.. I think a black steering wheel would look better !

yeh thanks - thats why i posted - this is a subjective thing and i'm sure may prove hard to sell on were i to go for it.

Its a 02/52 black with red - sat nav etc etc 43k - just looking to see what its worth,.

cheers

I'd say the market on such an interior will be smaller, but by the same token if you like it buy it. Sod what anyone else thinks.

Add some CF & lose the Red wheel....& certainly not the worst interior ever.

I'm with Rob on this - sod what everyone else thinks (personally I *love* red interiors on Porsche  )

I'd probably remove the centre console and have it sprayed with a 'soft touch' red finish - or maybe gloss black / basalt to match the exterior :D

As Rob says Sod what other people think, if you like it go for it. Saying that though I would expect the price to reflect the "Not everyone's cup of tea" interior. As for price mid £40's maybe?

I think the red wheel is a bit much, but like the silver/ boxster red combo on some Porsches & the carbon black / imola combo on M3's looks very good. Agreed, is subjective and also very dependent on exterior colour - e.g red/red would be a no no for me.

If you like it, buy it. It is easy to get too hung up on future values. It's a Porsche, it's personal taste and there will be a buyer for it in the future. It would look much better though if you de-redded it by changing the steering wheel as others had mentioned.

At least the carpets are black.

My father in law has just bought a BMW Convertible with Garnet Red Leather and I actually quite like it.

The only question is if you like it. And remember that you can change loads of the 996 interior. Especially if you are looking at black. £1K will get a lot of that red replaced (including the steering wheel).

There will always be a market to sell it on, you just need to price if sensibly.

thanks guys, i like it (maybe with a black wheel). It depends i guess on what i can get it for.

Its a 52 plate, so maybe mid 40's is too harsh? (or not i dont know!)

cheers

Price sounds OK for a 52 car. Is it 43K miles? Not sure on price - about £48K wouldn't surpirse me.

What's the rest of the spec?

yeh its a 52 with 43k - sat nav, 3 owners, phone, cd, FPSH except last one at porsche specialist.

the dealer has it up for £51 ish i think - i'm looking at maybe bidding £47ish??

cheers

I reckon the Carbon pack would lift/break up the arterial tendancies... and it's certainly better than the other lighter dog sh*t colour Porsche do! :(

red sint too bad as long as it isnt overkill, so loose the red wheel and let it blend better with black
