I'll start the bidding at £1.50

I think I could win this one!

Are you sure you want to sell a 911 icon like that for a ... boxster? With blue seats?

Nothing against the baby porker, I would buy one myself, but not sure I would swap out an icon for one.

I can see why you'd want rid of the dirty girl, but why not swap it out for a decent bit of German kit like a Golf GTI/Audi A3 and keep the beast?

Just my 2p obviously, but the 911 is a beaut!

Dont think I would swap that for a boxster either.I had a PSE fitted at a specialist the other day and while they were doing the work I was looking at a mint 86 coupe in white. It looked bloody lovely and I was sorely tempted to buy it(its purchase price was around half of what my 997 has lost in depreciation alone!)After the exhaust was fitted I looked at the two cars side by side and the older car still looked special and arguably classier than the 997.I know the 997 is an up to date design with all the bells and whistles but I bet it wont age as well as that coupe.

As clipstone says why not just get a nicer daily driver and use the saved money to keep Tara in tip top condition. Even if you put another 50k miles on her she will still be the nuts parked next to a Boxster and much more interesting to drive.

time to move onwards, it's hard but you have to

The Megane is a nice daily drive to me...

Jeez Nic...

You can't swap that for a Boxster!!!!

That's one of the coolest cars on the planet in anyone's hands, but owned and driven by a girl - that's every single male Petrol-Head's dream!'

Boxster is a great car, but do you really want to be seen as a successful hairdresser, or a rich man's wife?

My vote is for the better daily driver!

What draws you to a boxster? (I had one and liked it alot)

I'd say go for a daily work horse + play Porsche too. Be it Megane + Tara (or another 911) or any other work horse. Cartainly don't chop a 911 for a Boxster, however nice they are, they're not 911!

If you really want to spend money, spend it on Tara. It's an old girl, and just like an old house, there's always something that needs money spent on!

Trick is not to have an old girl and an old house
Or do I mean Porsche.

Nic,
I know you have lavished Tara... but I think it's time for a change - as much as you are asking us, you know it's time for something fresh! A new start! That White Boxster is what you've always been looking for and will bring you into the 21st century!
There are still quite a few mint, low mileage, 3.2s out there and you can always go back to a mint 3.2 if you need to and find the Boxster doesn't meet your expectations. Half the fun is in making them mint anyways!
Just my £0.02... :)

Sell it and get the Boxster. You always say you have wanted one so go for it.
