Anyone know what the avarage monthly decpreciation on a 997 is ? Someone quoted me a £1000 per month but I thought was a bit high.

Up to 1 year old that sounds about right, tails off a little after that.

I thought they were supposed to lose 50% of their value in the first 3 years (sorry! ) so that's about £12000 a year but best way to confirm would be looking at OPC values for year old cars.

Its more than a £ 1.00 an hour so you can watch it go down in value.

The more you think about it, the more you should not think about it.

Well i bought my C4S for £45k with 14k miles and 2003 model in November 2005,

and sold it for £41k, with 33k miles in November 2006,

I think that was ok

I bought my 997s at 6 months and 4000 miles old for £13k under its new price so I guess early depreciation is a lot worse than it used to be on older 911's when they were new.

£1k a month is a fair average to work to for the 997. There are certain factors that will of course affect that but if you account that level of loss annually you won't be that far off.
