On the 996, what year did the 3.6 come out and replace the 3.4 ? And what other changes were made to the car ? (by looking at one, how can you tell)

Definitely pre-facelift, although I have read reports on here that a few pre-facelift cars seem to have been fitted with the 3.6 engine?

That does look pink doesn't it? :oops:

essentially

boxtser shared front = 3.4

and facelifted mk2 = 3.6
