Hi Henrik, welcome to the site, love the stealth bomber look of your car. Can't help you on numbers though, my Porsche data book lists 1868 cars for the Mk1 but the production figure for the Mk2 is not listed for some reason.

Better watch out for the unmarked police cars in your car; my wife's nephew is going to lose his licence after he was pushed over the limit by an unmarked police car which came and sat on his bumper whilst he was overtaking a truck. He thought he was going to get rammed off the road so put his foot down to try and get out of the way. Cue sirens and lights. When he protested, the policeman said "we're the police, we can do what we want". Nice! I guess you don't mess with the Swedish police.

Hi Richard!

Just like you I have also only found the MK1 production figure. I love my GT3 and the colour is a bonus :)

The Swedish police have caught me once in my old car (Black 2001 Boxster S). I over took a row of cars and missed that one of them was an unmarked police car. But I kept my license. They only booked me for 22 km/h above the speed limit.

The purpose with the car is the track meetings with the very nice Swedish Porsche Club. It’s not fit for normal roads.

Rob, if you look at the number of RHD Mk1 GT3s, however, the picture is very different...

  • 34
    Arctic Silver

  • 13
    Black

  • 4
    Polar Silver

  • 1
    Biarritz
    White

  • 18
    Speed Yellow

  • 15
    Guards Red

  • 1
    Cobalt Blue

  • 9
    Zanzibar

  • 6
    Iris Blue

  • 1
    Ocean Blue

  • 1
    Forest
    Green

  • 1
    Blue Metallic (Renault Blue)

  • 1
    Rubystone

  • 1
    Blue Turquoise
Total = 106

LHD market always much more common than RHD.

Guess the interesting thing is how many are still left!

Am I right in thinking there was around 250 RHD's MkII's? Sure I'd seen that figure somewhere.

Some of those colours give you you a completely unique car. What colour is "Rubystone" by the way?
