Just had a minor service.

I'm in the RMS club ... and thats just the tip of the iceberg!!! Apparently my car is seeping oil and coolant everywhere.

The good news is, most of it is covered, no quibbling. How the hell my car passed its 111 point check 4K miles ago I'll never know.

Who cares how it passed the test, at least it's covered! Mine is having its RMS done today. Have got a Boxster S at the moment.

It is a very good car - I can certainly drive it quicker than mine (I think I may need some new shocks). It is very stable and pretty quick too. Has not got the same straight line speed, but on the twisty sections is a good car.

I can see why the Cayman is so quick on the ring!

Yes I did, not a leak, only seeping at the moment. They did say that it would be fine for about a 6-12 months, but to do it now to get the problem sorted. I suppose its fair enough. I might not have had a warranty next year!

This is only the third tip that Solihull have ever done, they have done way more on 993s.

F1, mines a Tip as well. Apparently the tiptronic oil cooler is leaking as well as the RMS :(

They were quite clear that the RMS issue has been a major problem on the 996, but recon they have it licked with the latest generation seal. Not sure how long they have been using the latest version, but claim they have had zero comeback with it.

How long does Solihull need your C2 for, to complete the repair? So Poo.
