Hi all

I've recently picked up an 03 Plate 996 C4S, and was wondering what the revs should sit at when the engine is warm and the car is at idle ?

Mine seems to sit at around 800Rpm, which is maybe right, but not being used to porsche ownership, it sounds when your stationary that the car is over revving ??

Sounds about right to me, what do you mean by over-revving?

Have you got a sports exhaust? - it has a bit more of a note to it then!

800 is about right. Anything constant is good as long as it picks up OK. If it sits there hunting, then that's bad. Mind you, the way I feel about the M96 enine right now.......
