Exporting a car

If i were to buy a German originated car ('96 993 lhd) currently registered in the UK and i exported it to Canada what kind of changes would have to be made e.g Emissions control, Bumpers, etc.

would it be financely impractical ?

the reason i wish to export is because next year i am going to live there and if i have a good 911 then i reckon it is better to export than to buy again, cost of shipping would probably be less than loss through a sale.

what's your pennies worth mateys ?

IIRC there are a few spec changes for a car of that age. . . . . . however not impossible and worth looking into as it can be done.... and prices over there are very similiar to over here.......
