Lovely pair of cars. Just goes to show how fantastic the 993 is as it still looks fresh against the 997.

It would be a very tough choice to make.

Lovely pics of both,

Just makes you think re evoloution of the model, how do you call it,

Who makes those decisions and keeps the lines just right?

BTW, why is there a German WW11 troop carrier parked next to the 993.

WW11 troop carrier is for the dog

I love my dog just not enough to let it ride in the 911

I still think the 993 has the edge over 996/997s

Nice drive, and so many shrubs, you are making me quite envious

Great looking cars both of them, I think my C4S, in Seal has a slightly better looking Ass :D

front ends always show the closeness of the 3 to the 7

Both look great, think I would go for the 997 though (not that I have the money to make that decision!). But the turbo is way quicker I suppose! :D

What struck me was the volume difference between the 997 and the 993. The 997 looked huge next to mine. The 997 also sat higher of the ground than mine by some 3inchs at the back (probably those 19inch wheels, which I was tempted to swap on to my 993)

Comparing them back to back. I have no doubt that the 997 is a faster car but it didn’t feel like it nor does it trill like my 993.

My friend wasn’t fond of it either. It doesn’t stand apart like the 996 C4S he owned which when I sore it I felt the same rather under whelming. It’s almost too smooth to where it lacks any features.

I still think out of Porsche current line up I’d have a GT3 997 or a Cayman.

Also I really reeeeally like the indicators on the 997 I wonder if there is an aftermarket version for the 993 maybe I should give ACE a call see if he cant whip something up >:)

Daz,

Don't tease them about the water shortages - they will all be whinging in a couple of weeks when their cars are dirty!
