Technical question on gearbox's

Evening,


Can someone with a technical knowledge help me with a problem please?


I have a 915 C2 gearbox with the electronic speedo output. I am trying to calibrate to this an aftermarket VDO electronic speedo. The speedo can be set up for 6 different pick-ups to cater for all the different types, however I'm not sure what type Porsche use. I thought it might be the inductive type of pick -up but this is not working. Any ideas please? Once the type used is known its easy..... :D
