Hi,

I have driven a Honda S2000 for the past couple of years but am looking to buy a 911 GT2 or a Turbo 997 fairly soon. I was wondering what premiums i can expect on my Insurance. I live in quite a small town/village out in the sticks of Wales and have found premiums on my other sports cars manageble, but I'm wondering how different it would be owning a true supercar.

Any help appreciated.

David.

Just go comparison shopping online. That should give you a good idea of likely premium levels

not that different but I sell Insurance
the GT2 is a real wicked car and make that honda feel like a kia

Thanks, it's difficult to find companies that will quote for such cars online. It's also difficult to find the time of day to phone them :)

You ought to consider a GT3

Gt2's are very extreme

Turbos are soft compared to a GT3

what do mean by extreme? I like the mean looking ones ;)

They dont call the GT2 the widow maker for nothing,

If youve had the Honda for a while, and this will be your first Porsche

I'd drive all 3 then decide,

If a GT2 is going to be your first Porsche I think you should proceed with great caution

480 BHP, no traction control, no 4 wd, thats one very hairy machine

Regarding Insurance, the Norwich Union website features an GT2
