Any ideas why I cant get any response on the below car ?? Does anyone know someone whos looking for one. Considering the dealers price for the car is 62-63 k, and im selling for a lot less, I cant understand why ?? it is over priced

any ideas, pic of the car is in my advert, also on this site. the written details are below of the car.

Incidentally if anyone is interested, please give me a call on 07977222254

Thanks Chris.

I dont know the relative values etc but for what its worth my opinion is its a lot of money to deal with person to person with no warranties and the concern that things may not be fully kosher. Im sure you are a very straight person, BUT handig over a nearly £60k to an individual with no fall back is risky.

Many people spending that sort of dosh would look to buy from a dealer for the added security of dealing with a licensed individual and having somewhere to go if there was a problem

Have you thought of selling through a dealer using them as a broker? Maybe one of the independents?

As I say just my opinion.

Martyn,

I do appreciate what your saying, makes sense, but there is still a warranty on the car, and fsh, etc (m.o.t dont apply). Id have thought some interest would be likely though, but not much yet.

You mentioned brokers, do you know where I can look some up ?, are there specialist Porsche ones ?? any ideas how they operate ?

Thansk for the info again.

Regards

Chris

Why are you selling it Chris? (Just a hunch that your answer may have a bearing on the question

I think a GT3 is something specific. You either want one or you don't. At the end of the day its a raced up street car with very few comforts. I reckon the market lays with current porsche owners who want something quicker than their 996 c2's &c4's.

I was looking at swapping my 04 C4S when it was not even a year old and i was offered £56k by a broker!!!! I can tell you thats WELL BELOW what i paid and it didn't depreciate that much...and considering they were selling for high sixties I felt insulted...so beware if you go down that road!

Good Luck anyway.

selling via a broker is ok, but just dont expect top dollar for it - they will only be interested in taking of your hands at a lower price, in order for them to sell it on quickly, dealers hate having cars in stock for too long - it looks bad and they just dont want cars sitting around forever.

chris you need to be priced below independant specialists, who are selling your car for sub-£60k

when selling, patience is a virtue... but with the 997 & over supply of 996's et al, it is a buyers market....

Many thanks to all for the support and comments,

Only reason im selling it is that I dont use it anymore. I bought it on a spur of the moment thing as I always wished for one. When I could I bit the bullet and bought. Now I realise that either ill loose my licence with it, or worse still kill myself driving it or someone else.

Does anyone have any avenues that I can persist with. I have advertised with top marques magazine at £62k, then £60K, and now will advertise at £58500. Can any one suggest anything, or know someone whos interested, im open to offers definielty.

Many thanks again for the info.

Chris - bring it over to my house - we'll keep it here, i'll make sure its in tip top condition and anytime you feel like coming over to use it you're more than welcome?

Can't say fairer than that.
