Still looking for that perfect late 993 with a vario engine. A chap in Belfast is selling a 46K FPSH C2 for £28995. These are some quotes

The car new was supplies by Agnews the main Porsche agent in
Belfast

It has been serviced by them from new last serviced in April @ 45,949 miles

It has now covered 46,264 miles and was just motd, expiring next year on 26
th
July 2006 it has had 5 careful owners from new

The car looks fantastic with last service 300 miles ago. Here are some pics for the experienced buyers.

So 993 owners, should i take the plunge and get a PPI??? Anyone bought a car in Northern Ireland and is the drive back to South East worth it??

Is it worth getting
Agnews the main Porsche agent in
Belfast to check it out!!

Or am i going to get a bias result!!

Well that is an option. Possibly slight bias, but they should be acting on your behalf and no-one else's!

My take is that there should be nothing fundamentally wrong with the car mechanically but you need to know about:

oil leaks (unlikely)

disc/pad wear

tyre wear

when had dampers replaced

when had an alignment check

whether all the bits and pieces work

whether aircon works

whether all accessories present - tools, spare, etc

any corrosion; also corrosion checks stamped up for the 10-year warranty

door straps

any signs of accident damage

any trackday use

HPI check.

Think that's more or less it.

Cheers Max

I will get info from the seller and local OPC.

If you are going to buy this car then I would seriously recomend driving down south and getting the ferry from Rossleigh to Pembroke. I did this in may and drove from Bristol to just South of Belfast. Single lane roads no cameras every 2 metres. It was fantastic and perfect to spend that bit of time with your new toy and get to know it. The car looks fantastic by the way and good luck!!!

Oh, and don't foget the clutch, Nishal! Could have another 10K - or even more - miles left in it, but if it's been done you'll know you won't have a need to fork out a grand for a new one some time.

Bad signs: slipping, stiff pedal, rough action, changing gear difficult.
