993 TT muffler bypass pipes

Anyone had any experience with muffler bypass pipes on a 993 TT (or any 993 really) - are they worth fitting to get a more throaty sound (the only failing of the TT IMHO)? Are they even legal in the UK? I've searched the forum but couldn't dig up much.

Thanks

do you mean cat bypass? if so they will fail on the mot! but will result in more power!

It bypasses the stock exhaust boxes ie. the flow comes straight from the cats (which remain, so no emission problems) to the endpipes. So only the boxes get removed, saving weight too :)

Have a look at 993TT on the fabspeed website
http://www.fabspeed.com/

See what you think...it seems a bit too easy, and only £395 too ??? it's going to be noisy but that's what I want as I only drive it occasionally.
