im looking to buy a 996 in the next few weeks ( 996 c2 tip blue apprx 35k) and the official porsche dealership have nothinmg so have a couple of questions has anyone used portiacraft , cridfords or autobahn to buy one?

on top of the standard warranties they offer do i need anything else ( ive seen people mention PPI) what are these please

is a tracker essential + any extras that are "essential" + in terms of leather black looks the best but are there any issues with other colours grey etc

aplologies in advance for my lack of knowledge but any advice general/specific would be greatly appreciated

as a starter.. have a search at all the posts in the main forums & buying advice... many cover buying 996's from many of the places you mention (& much more!)

Dont know anything about Portiacraft. Cridfords seem a good independant from stuff I've heard, and Autobahn are probably in the Camtune/Paragon league of firms that are more than a specialist, but not an OPC and their prices from my reckoning will be a bit more expensive than other specialists. PPI is a pre-purchase inspection, which is a must for cars out of warranty (even low milers) and many will argue particularly on a 996. From your 'swiss' handle, if you're here temporarily with a view to taking it home, or if you drive on the continent regularly, then a LHD will save many quids. Tracker is either personal choice or enforced by some insurers but I guess depends on the neighbourhood, garaged etc etc etc.

Having gone 996, blue and tip myself, I think your criteria are perfect
