could any one suggest a good specialist inspector to looknat a used 964 for me? I have been told that rac/aa is too general and that someone with experience of the marque would be better.

I used OPC Edinburgh to PPI my 993 they found most of the problems but when I got it back home I had JZM work on it for me and they did find some things OPC missed. I would say try and use an independent specialist over OPC but OPC is of course better than RAC/AA etc...

I found mine through a private Autotrader ad...... guess I was lucky but I had to work very quickly to secure it. The ad was placed on the net on a Monday I put in loads of calls to the seller and all those involved with its history and HPI'd via the net. I flew up on the Saturday went home and negotiated a price the same evening subject to PPI.

Got the car PPI'd on the Tuesday and flew up to collect it on the Friday.
