Leaking Gearbox Seal

Help!

I had a leaking seal between gearbox and engine replaced under "goodwill" from Porsche two weeks ago. The replacement has started to leak now!! The car is booked in to have the replacement seal replaced. I have been told by dealer that this is a comman fault with 911's?

Could this problem be part of a bigger problem with the crank??

Is this comman? This is my first 911 and I have only had it 7 months. It is a Jan 02 car with 22k on the clock

Advice much appreciated.

Nick

Nick

Believe me this is not uncommon but the seal is not really the problem. Please read my post about engine problems on this site.

I would also love to know about your replacement engine. Does the serial number end with an "x" if so then u may be in for a struggle.

Have a read of the "engine problems" and
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2166&hl=engine+problems

then get back
