What do you think my 993 is worth?

I need to sell my 993 over the next 4 weeks or so as I will be emigrating.
I will be putting the car on this web site but I think it would be a good idea to also speak with some specialist independent dealers about buying it off me.

I need to know two prices, 1) how much should I advertise it for on a private sale? and

2) how much to sell to a independent dealer?

The car is a 1997 – 993 Targa on a “p” plate. 46,500 miles, ocean blue metallic with full boxster red leather interior, full OPC service history, hard backed sports seats, 11 months mot, , tiptronic s, armour fend on the front of the car – but there are some stone chips on the bonnet and rear wings and a parking curb on a rear wheel, traker, six disc cd, Thatcham PA1000 full closure alarm including roof, new front tyres and recent full suspension realignment

I would appreciate any help that you give me

Ocean blue with boxster red not the most popular, tip s might lower the amount of possible buyers too, but won't make that much difference. Nice low mileage though, relatively late model and
sports
seats are good. Has it had a service recently? If not get it done buyers will hammer you for it. Minor damage won't matter too much, although getting the wheel refurbished might help. FPSH is good.

My verdict: Private sale advertise for £31k be willing to accept £29k. If it doesn't sell in
time
then a specialist will probably give you under £25k.

I was going to say as you need to get rid of it quick £30k, it is a 97 after all. However, as Noony said red leather, tip S and Targa not too popular on resale.

Not sure if it will help but I know a few of the dealers in this neck of the woods (Surrey) will sell the car for you for a small percentage/profit. This may only be because they know me, but it could be worth asking - so rather than them buying it from you, they advertise it etc, and you get a good price with them making a relatively easy profit for doing very little...

I would be happy with getting circa 29K pref slightly more when I have been to meetings my motor has always been up there with the others, I saw one hell of a lot of S*** when I bought it this was the best by far,, when I had Peter Morgan look over it he thought it was an excellent 993

I wanted a car with a red interior because all the press cars at the time of me buying were red interiors. In terms of Tiptronic I had to have this as I have a bad back and manuals kill me, but this said I have been over the moon with the tiptronic.

Thanks for your help.

Interesting. Put my 96 993 Carrera 4 up for sale on this site plus a few others and not even had a sniff at 31k. Just dropped the price to £29500 and still nothing!!! Spec is good and everyone seemed to say residuals are hardening for 993's. Don't really want to sell it but didn't think I would have a problem. Agree with the trade valuations though. £25k top so far

Metallic black, black leather sports seats(hard back), auto air con, sports exhaust and suspension, sunroof, RS splitter, CD autochanger, 18"split rims, serviced and MOT May 2004, PA1000 alarm Tracker

57,600 miles
