A few blond questions i know but i am bout to spend a lot of cash.
Need some advice please.Have owned a boxster and moved to a bmw 3 series last year. What a mistake!!. This has made me appreciate the porsche even more. Have decided to spend about 40K on a 996 C4 cab tiptronic. i do about 20K miles a year and am a bit nervous about a number of things.
is this a relaistic price for a 2000/2001 model?.
How many sets of tyres will I get through on 20K miles a year?. 50% of this milage will be motorway?.
The models i have looked at have between 40K and 50K miles.how much will the average 48K service cost me. Should i spend another few grand and look for a newer model ?.
Have read a lot about the engine seals on earlier models, what are the symptoms of a leaky seal!!! and where exactly should i look ?.
How much should i be prepared to lose on the car in total, excluding fuel and Insurance over two years ?.
How do i make sure i don't get ripped of ?.
Anything i should know/look for with the Tiptronic gearbox. Does this add to the servicing costs?.
these questions are very long winded but if i get all the answers i may be able to own my dream car. Please help
