With the 997 just around the corner (although the dealerships are being cagey about the actual UK launch date) what do people think is going to happen to the price of the 996. I've been looking to buy for a 2002 model for a while, but if prices are likely to come down might it be better to wait another 6 months? :?

My understanding is that the 996 will continue to be made and sold at similar price to now for 2 years concurrently with the 997 anyway. not sure that helps you, but it means the 996 won't suddenly become unfashionable or dated. I just bought a 1998 C2 and highly recommend the car! Good luck.

That's only the C4S and turbo coupés and cabs. If you take a look in the ''for sale-trade'' section of
www.stuttgartnines.co.uk
you'll find the spec of the 997. I'm personally a bit disappointed.

The 997 may affect 2004 model prices and brand new 996s but I don't think it will really affect 2002 models.
