does anyone know how the carrera badge is fastened to the engine lid on a 993? Is it glued on and if so is it difficult to remove? Some swine has tired to prise mine off and succeeded in snapping half of it.

I read an article on rennlist which suggested they are stuck on - recomended a hair drier to warm it up and soften the glue - then plastic blade to slide evenly underneath to gradually remove.

Try using dental floss to "cut" through the tape, less chance of scratching the paint work.

thanks for the feedback guys - that would explain the heat reflective strip on the under side of the engie lid. I'll give it a go.
