- In line with Posting Guidelines as above
- Authentic reviews of first-hand experiences
- Relevant to other owners
- Unique and Independent
- Original
- Submitted for an appropriate business
- No reviews by children under the age of 13

Valid email address and standard email formatting:

- The email address associated with your account must be correct; we may need to contact you if there is a problem with your review.
- Machine translated reviews that are unreadable or incomprehensible will not be accepted.
- No HTML tags and no excessive ALL CAPS, slang, formatting issues, repeated text or typographic symbols.
- Use the correct alphabet for the language in which you are writing. Do not transliterate into another alphabet.

911uk.com reserves the right to remove a review or management response at any time, for any reason. The reviews posted on 911uk.com are individual and highly subjective opinions. The opinions expressed in reviews are those of 911uk.com. 911uk.com does not endorse any of the opinions expressed by reviewers or in any responses. In accordance with our Privacy Policy, 911uk.com does not release anyone's personal contact information.

Fake reviews

Very rarely, we will encounter a review that violates our review guidelines. If we detect a fake review, we remove the review(s) from the site and take steps to ensure that site users are aware (we may post a message on the site) of what has been done by the offending business, alerting our users that we have found a fake review.

Good, bad and ugly reviews of your Porsche experiences

In line with the Review guidelines as above, a business has a right to respond to your review, whether good, bad or ugly. Firstly it's simply a matter of balance. We often I've heard a 'horror' story about a dealer only to later talk to the dealer/trader discussed and find that there are considerably different views on what actually took place.

There are also bad customers out there as well as bad dealers. Some people expect too much and misrepresent the facts in their favour, therefore in line with site posting and review rules the site reserves the right to remove your review.

Verify the 'facts' as presented

Please ensure you can verify the facts as presented in any review and be aware that any dispute argued out in public must be in line with the site posting rules. If we're asked to remove comments by a company and we consider them potentially libelous then we will take them off the site. That then leaves you open to litigation, not us.

Resolving Disputes

Disputes are best dealt with in the real world through normal channels. Doing it online merely opens a can of worms for the person posting the message, for 911uk and for the business being discussed. We've no desire to become embroiled in disputes and start providing transcripts of threads to solicitors (yes, it happens).

You may not realise it but you risk opening yourself up to accusations of libel too, if too often emotions creeps into messages and people end up stepping over the factual line, putting themselves in a position where they could invite a legal challenge. We have taken legal advice on how the courts treat libel and defamation online though, and feel that we probably let as much as we're safe to do slide through.

Freedom of speech does not condone defamation, it is that simple, but remember the following.

- Every keystroke matters; they are public, permanent and some can be costly.
- Never post when you are angry.
- Never send emails or text messages when you are upset, wait 24 hours.
- Writing a negative review can be acceptable, however it doesn't and should not have to be mean, always choose your words wisely. Constructive criticism can actually help businesses.

Exceptions

1. An exception to the libel and defamation rules is when this applies to cars that have a car fraud/cloned car/hidden crash/damage/repair history, where a seller or any variant is passing off a car that is not as described. In such instances you are free to discuss the REAL FACTS. However the real facts must be presented to 911uk by email in order for the site to validate the information.

2. Discussing the real facts of your experience but in order to do this then you must present user '911uk' or to [email protected] the real facts through email correspondence so that when these facts are quoted, so there is no debate to are the real facts.

911uk is here to help, but in order to do this, you need to stay within the law.

These posting rules are in addition to our Registration Rules and Terms & Conditions.

but NO PORN AT ALL, EVER

Any Porn Postings will be deleted and is in breach of site rules.

NSFW

using the Wikipedia definition

"Not suitable/safe for work (NSFW) is Internet slang or shorthand. Typically, the NSFW tag is used in e-mail, videos, and on interactive discussion areas (such as Internet forums, blogs, or community websites) to mark URLs or hyperlinks which contain material such as nudity, violence, pornography or profanity, which the viewer may not want to be seen accessing in a public or formal setting such as at work.

Determining a site to be NSFW is invariably subjective, and poses challenges for academics who study sexuality. The difficulty in identifying such content objectively has led to the creation of online tools to help individuals to identify NSFW content:

NSFW has particular relevance for individuals making personal use of the Internet at workplaces or schools which have policies prohibiting (even inadvertent) access to sexually provocative content. Companies and schools frequently adopt such policies because they regard the presence of sexual content as a misuse of company property (or education resources) and, potentially, a violation of sexual harassment policy"

there are NSFW threads in the members lounge, as long as they are suitably labelled, respectful of other members, not in breach of site rules and only within the members lounge then these such postings are allowable.

If you're wondering how to identify NSFW v Porn, as someone once said, you'll know what porn is as soon as you see it, after that it's most likely NSFW.

Remarketing or "similar target groups" function of Google Inc.

This website may use the Google AdWords remarketing or "similar target groups" feature of Google. This function is used to overlay product recommendations and interest-based advertising targeted to users of our website and other users with similar interests based on their online user conduct, when the users visit other websites in the Google display network or carry out Google searches. If our advertisements are overlayed on these websites, we are transmitted information regarding the visits to such websites; for instance, how often our advertisement was viewed, how many clicks and visits were generated through a specific advertisement and what content was retrieved after clicking on an advertisement on our website.

An analysis of online user behavior forms the basis of this interest-based advertising. Google uses cookies to perform this analysis. Cookies are small text files that are generated by a web server and are stored on your computer by means of the web browser that is used, while you visit a website in the Google Display Network or a certain Google service. These cookies contain information regarding your last visit or regarding the settings of your browser, such as the language settings.

The cookies are used for capturing the visits to the website by means of a unique identification of a web browser on a specific computer, and are not used to identify a person. All data are stored using a pseudonym, such that any inference to the identity of the user, and thus any personal identification, is not easily possible.

You may disable Google's use of cookies by accessing your advertising preferences and accordingly giving effect to the opt-out. Alternatively, you may disable the use of cookies by third-party providers by accessing the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative and giving effect to the more detailed information regarding the opt-out set forth therein.

Forum Code of Conduct

The forum is a place to share info and tips with others and discuss all things Porsche. We hope you'll enjoy it, but ask you to remember it's a broad church with many different types of people. Follow these basic rules to make it a good place to be.

Please be nice to all 911uk Users

There's no such thing as a stupid question and, even if you disagree, courtesy helps. That's the forum ethos. Remember, the prime aim is to help provide info and resources. If you don't like someone, their situation, their question or feel they're intruding on 'your board' then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue. This forum should continue to be the place where consumers can collect together and fight back. Our job is to help keep it that way.

Please be sensitive

This may be a web forum, but you're still talking to other human beings. Repeatedly or harshly saying someone's wrong, especially on the forum can lead to upset. Please think twice before posting judgemental comments.

Respect other users.

Set the tone for online conversations by being polite, open and respectful. It is not expected that you will agree with other users at all times but it is expected that you write your comments in a respectful. Any abusive, offensive or inflammatory posts or any comments which personally attack any individual will not be tolerated and will be removed.

No nudity, sexually explicit content, Provocative, inflammatory, unsettling, or suggestive posts

We welcome a diverse audience. We don't want to create a bad experience for someone that might stumble across explicit images, so some lascivious or sexualised posts are not allowed. This includes Mature content may include suggestive, inflammatory, unsettling, or provocative stories, and images, as well as scantily-clad women or men.

We forbid bullying, harassment and threatening language

We face the rising threat from extreme right wing groups that use the alternative right (alt-right) political movements and media outlets whom share an ideology based on intense hostility to minorities, ethnic and religious groups. All alt-right organisations across any spectrum of the media opposes our fundamental values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect and tolerance for different faiths and beliefs, any such content is in breach of site rules.

We encourage debate but we ask you not to quote web-sources which falls into the category of False, Misleading, Politically Biased, Alt-right, Hate News, Junk Science, Clickbait, and/or Satirical 'News" Sources, such as Breitbart News.

Be responsive and participate.

Make an effort to share what you know and to interact with your peers. The site encourages you to actively participate in the debate, pose questions and help each other.

Good sharing means posting content which brings value to the community. Content which opens up a discussion, shares something new and unique, or has a deeper story to tell beyond the image itself is content that generally brings value. Ask yourself first: is this something I would be interested in seeing on 911uk if someone else posted it?

Don't feed the trolls

Sadly the web has a habit of throwing up a very small but vocal number of trolls, people who are nasty or contrary just to get a rise out of you. If someone's doing this, simply don't reply, just report it to a moderator or on email to [email protected]. If you get involved and fling mud back, you risk being barred from using the forum too.

All info is the opinion of posters

It's not our view. We have an amazing forum with a huge wealth of helpful info. Yet remember it's open to all, and sometimes messages are posted that are misleading or downright wrong. Most users are helpful but there are always a few bad apples. Don't rely on information being accurate or complete. If you do, it's at your own risk. Please do your own research before acting.

We can be liable for what you post.

When you post something, not only are you liable for what you say, but we can become liable too as the host. So it's not a case of posting what you like, and we can moderate posts if needed. Of course, our aim is to ensure there is legitimate information about your Porsche experience and fighting for consumer rights stays.

Posting is a privilege, not a right.

This is a privately-owned site. Posting is a privilege, not a right. Any inappropriate posts or any issues that take up a disproportionate amount of resources or make it a worse place to be will be stopped at our discretion - with or without explanation. No one pays to use this site; when there are issues, we may have to pay to resolve them. Sometimes we need to prioritise spending on the site, other issues or better resources.

No posts violate our terms of service
These are the 911uk Site Rules which may be changed or amended at any time.

These guidelines are here to give you a legitimate expectation of how the forum runs, but they don't bind us.

Together, we must:
– Apply these principles in everything we do;
– Uphold the Forum's principles in any initiative we engage in;
– Protect the Forum's reputation and that of the Forum's Members, Partners and constituents.

Before writing your Porsche Dealer Garage review, please ensure that you review and understand the following.

Online reviews are growing more important by the day, especially for local businesses. Study after study show that what customers write about your business has a direct impact on the bottom line. Each review tells a story about a shopping or service experience, which can be useful information for consumers and businesses alike.

We let you decide which businesses are reviewed on 911uk, it's not up to us.

Summary

Make sure that the reviews and photos that you leave at a business you've visited whether good, bad or average, are honest representations of the customer experience. Those that aren't may be removed.

This sub-forum has been set up specifically for Independent Porsche Dealer Garage Reviews. If you are looking to review an independent specialist, at this time there is no dedicated forum, please write such reveiws in a suitable model or garage forum.

Why are reviews allowed on 911uk

Online reviews affect more industries than ever, from restaurants to hotels, doctors to landscapers, so it's becoming increasing important with the Motor Industry to demonstrate Porsche excellence. Customers also find your reviews in more places than they used to: embedded in the search results, the annual Porsche Awards, Google searches through any platform, to name a few.

Whether you're going to a place or you own one, you want ratings, reviews, photos, and recommendations that are helpful and trustworthy. Reviewing a place and adding your own photos are great ways to share both positive and negative opinions. But please follow the policies listed below when writing your review and adding a photo.

What are 911uk's review guidelines?

We believe in free speech, transparency, and clear communication. When creating a review, we ask that you stick to the facts. The best reviews provide constructive information that helps the community make better decisions.

Lets start with 2 important points:
- reviews must be based on an experience within the last 12 months of posting.
- all reviews need to validated by 911uk if required, therefore we operate a confidential validation through the site administrator. if the review can not be validated then it will be moderated or removed.

Review content policies

911uk's default position is not to censor, edit, or delete reviews. However, we reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our content policy.

In summary we don't allow:
-Reviews that do not represent a user's personal experience .
-Reviews unrelated to the actual reservation (ex: political, religious, or social commentary).
-Content that endorses or promotes illegal or harmful activity, or is profane, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or discriminatory.
-Content that violates another person's or entity's rights.
-Reviews incentivised by a promise for payment, additional services, or a discounted rate
-Content that is proven to be used as extortion.
-Content that refers to an 911uk investigation.

We'll remove content that violates any of the content policies below:

Advertising

Don't use reviews for advertising, such as adding links to other websites or phone numbers. Reviews should be a genuine reflection of your experience with a place - don't post reviews just to manipulate a place's ratings.

Spam

Don't spam. Write a genuine report of your experience with the place. Don't include promotional / commercial content, don't post the same content multiple times and don't write reviews for the same place from multiple accounts.

Off-topic reviews

Don't post reviews based on someone else's experience, or that are not about the specific place you're reviewing. Reviews aren't meant to be a forum for general political or social commentary or personal rants. Wrong location or the place is closed? Use the Report a problem link to report that information instead of writing a review.

Keep it clean

Don't use obscene, profane, or offensive language. We'll also remove reviews that represent personal attacks on others.

Conflict of interest

Reviews are most valuable when they are honest and unbiased. If you own or work at a place, please don't review your own business or employer. Don't offer or accept money, products, or services to write reviews for a business or to write negative reviews about a competitor. If you're a business owner, don't set up review stations or kiosks at your place of business just to ask for reviews written at your place of business.

Illegal content

Don't post reviews that contain or link to unlawful content, like links that facilitate the sale of prescription drugs without a prescription.

Copyrighted content

Don't post reviews that infringe others' rights - including copyright. For more information or to file a infringement request, review our copyright procedures.

Sexually Explicit Material

We don't allow reviews that contain sexually explicit material. Also, we absolutely don't allow reviews that sexually exploit children or present them in a sexual manner. For this type of content, we'll remove the review, shut down the account, and send a report to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

Impersonation

Don't post reviews on behalf of others or misrepresent your identity or connection with the place you're reviewing.
Personal and confidential information: Don't post reviews that contain another person's personal and confidential information, including credit card information, government identification number, driver's license information, etc.

Hate Speech

We don't allow reviews that advocate against groups of people based on their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Extortion Policy

Reviews are a way for users to share their experiences with the community. Any attempt to use reviews to force a user to do something they aren't obligated to do is a misuse of reviews, and we don't allow it.

This also means that:

-Users are not allowed to threaten to use reviews or ratings in an attempt to force a host to provide refunds, additional compensation, or a reciprocal positive review.

-Businesses are not allowed to require a user to leave a positive review or rating, or to revise a review in exchange for a partial or full refund, or reciprocal review. The business also cannot offer a free or discounted provision of service in exchange for a user revising an existing review.

-If a user contacts a host with a problem, the host should make every effort to resolve it. The business can't ask the guest to take specific actions related to a review in exchange for the resolution of the problem. After the issue is fixed, a business may ask the guest to leave a positive review or rating. A business may also ask a user to 'revise' a negative review provided certain time constraints are met.

-If a users has obtained a 'result' specifically as a result of a negative review posted, then any agreement between the parties or by the original poster to have the review removed on 911uk as a result of achieving this result is not grounds for having the review removed.

Whether you're a user or business , make sure you follow these guidelines. If you don't, your account may be restricted, suspended, or terminated. By posting a review, you agree to follow the 911uk Site Rules (guidelines and policies) that 911uk may enforce at our sole discretion.

Can a business write reviews?

Yes. Business owners are welcome to write reviews of other businesses in line with the review guidelines. However, business owners are not allowed to represent themselves as consumers when discussing their own services or products. We ask you to disclose your ties to your business in your comments and to act as representatives of your business in all communications on our site. Any reviews that we are made aware of as being fake, untrue or inappropriate about a business or its competitors may be removed and accounts creating them may be deleted at our discretion.

We don't remove company reviews

Our values include transparency and openness. So once a company is reviewed on 911uk, we don't remove the reviews. This applies regardless of whether a company actively uses 911uk or not, which also applies to when the company is taken over by a new owner (as reviews are time stamped).

Unless we're made aware of specific reviews that breach our rules or laws, we aim to preserve consumers' freedom of speech.

Online reviews can build trust and credibility

We understand that some companies have concerns about being reviewed online, but we believe it creates significant opportunities for businesses to engage with and learn from their customers to building trust and credibility.

The internet has made it easier than ever before for people to share their experiences and feedback. Companies can now choose to what extent they want to take part in these online conversations. 911uk is one of many options available for gathering and using constructive business-consumer dialogue.

Embrace reviews as an opportunity to engage.
