Hi Porsche family,

I'm looking to pick up a used Porsche Cayenne. Currently eyeing between a 2012 and a 2016. Are the bodies the same on these two models? I know 1st gen was to 2010, 2nd gen to 2017 and third gen is current years.

So between 2012 vs 2016 were there any subtle changes to body or interior?

Thanks!

2016 is the facelift of the 2012, main updates are

interior steering wheels
front and rear lights
Updated Euro 6 engines

And you can fit the later steering wheel to the early ones too as I did....

Sorry to hijack but is the steering wheel switch a straight swap or are the wiring considerations?

Fits straight on but also need the module that neatly fits within the wheel from gpsadapter.us to sort the wiring.... different models of adapter too if you have heating as mine does...very easy to do

Love that steering wheel!

Anyone know if you can fit one of the later steering wheels onto the 957 Cayenne? I've never been a fan on the one from that model.

Sorry to threadjack also , but did your previous wheel have the controls on it ? I have a 958 3.0d and have no steering wheel controls but really want them . Could that be done ? Tia

Yep... previous wheel was this.... Contact gpsadapter.us as I'm sure they can help.....
