Evening
I may need a new clutch in my 996 turbo x50. Some say engine out some say can be done without engine out. Any one got experience of either.
Then which clutch , flywheel etc would everyone go with.
Not a daily, used for spirited runs when I fancy.
Thanks

Gearbox off, that is all.

With engine out you will need to drain the coolant and power steering fluid and disconnect a few other things, wiring etc but it does make life easier to get the box from the engine. This is good if you want to do any over engine brake lines or check or corrosion etc.

But if its just the clutch I would just remove the gearbox.
