Bit of a mess this one .. glass roof was stuck closed , pulled out the motor and found the cable one side had punched a hole in the frame and made a birds nest on the far side of it .
Roof had to be removed with all the glass in situ .. dam heavy as you normally remove the glass then remove the frame .
Car needed a complete roof frame due to the damage .
The cause .. it's the original grease .. very thick as per the image .. it basically jammed on this one side and snapped the cable at the mechanism end .
i've had issues with this before but never to this extent ..
In short if your roof is very slow in operation then it would be worth getting it looked at before something like this happens .
