Mot failure - lower ball joint

Evening all
My car failed it's mot test today - bit frustrating but not the end of the world!
I would just like to try and confirm what part I need - the garage I took the car are still making some enquiries... it wasn't a specialist as it was just an mot and I thought would be straightforward.

The failure reads - suspension arm ball joint excessively worn offside front (lower suspension ball joint).

I am assuming this is the lower suspension arm?
Is this the part I need (car has pasm)

Thanks in advance.

Mine had its first MoT fail for exactly the same reason this year! (Local test centre)

I too was irritated to blemish the MoT history, and also mistrusting of the MoT tester as it drove perfectly. I had the part changed for the same Meyle part you linked (for 997 though). I got my Indy to show me the old part, and sure enough, there was play.

It's also known as a coffin arm btw. No geo needed after replacement of the fronts. I was unsure whether to change both, but I did anyway.

They both needed to have bolts cut to remove as no amount of heat would get them off. -glad I didn't attempt myself. You might be OK getting them off as your car is younger.

Mine is a late 2009 on 65k miles.
