As per other member suggestions, I am creating this thread to warn anybody about the car in the subject.

It is exactly the same story as in http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=118405

This issue of Insurance paying out and not updating HPI is quite common, BBC and AutoExpress uncovered it is as much as 90k cars a year:

Source: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-n...rite-off-scandal-bbc-investigation-echoes-our

I also have links to a company which provides salvage history and wanted to give you another example from their records:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201811082244129

It was sold by HBC salvage company as cat C. They removed a link now but there is a cached record here:

https://www.salvageauctions.io/results.php?query=6462410

REG: LX54CZL

Dealer has been notified and ignored above information completely.

Great info. :thumb:

Are you in the market for a GT3 then? Excellent investigative work.

I work for the company which provides car reports, and we are the only ones who can spot things like above. I was actually sent a link to this forum from our customer who found a different dodgy car on sale and was shocked when he saw pictures of the damage on HPI Clear car.

Not posting a company name as want to be within forum rules :D I have few mates who drive Porches and if money ever allows defo will be looking for one myslef as they are great cars.

great intel

do you also have info on what price these savage titles sold for
:?:

We see some prices sometimes but it is not always up to date as we would like but if any salvage links are live on HBC for exmaples anybody can see them.

I have couple of more exmaples, should I stick them all here ? :)

Wow, great info.
Yes, please do post up any more you have. It could save an unsuspecting buyer from getting ripped off big time. It is bad form that the dealer has not taken this onboard... They are probably realising they have been stiffed

looks like this one

Great work :thumb:

Are we not allowed to post a link of the car up on the dealers auto trader page then...!? Looks very different to the Cat C pictures

Link was in first post: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201811082244129

Car was at auction in 2016 so few years back and may have had wheels changed or little things like that done in last 3 years. Car was verified using VIN and Autocheck on AT.

Do you think its the first time to market since being repaired, milage hasn't moved much in 3 years :?:

coming to the south coast for sale soon am sure

never raced, rallied or rolled ;-)

So if the dealer selling this car has been informed that it is CAT C and they are not prepared to declare or acknowledge that in their advert, how does that leave them from a legal standpoint (apart from very dodgy ground!)

Obviously being sold by a knowledgeable dealer......
