Two gems with flaws but gems non the less.
I love my 997 C2S, chocolate engine and all 😁, always a delight to drive. Pretty as a picture and brings a smile.
F10 M5, 'the brute'. 🤗 Great and brutal with a pinch of blandness. Flying under the radar as long as you drive like your nan in her slippers. 
F10 will lose your licence, eventually 😣
Love them both. Flawed but great.
 
2 very interesting cars imo! Do you use the M5 as more of a daily?

Picking up my chocolate gen 1 manual C2S today for the first time. Joins an illustrious garage of a child lugger Tiguan R-Line and a R53 Cooper S (2006 last of the line) which the 911 will technically replace.

In effect the S replaces the 67 plate DSG Golf R I sold earlier this year, very very capable imo but doesn't have the Porsche's soul.
 
Hello and thanks for replying. I'm lucky (or cursed) by company hire cars most of the time.
My M5 is more of an everyday car than the C2S.
The 'chocolate engine' of the C2S has been as solid as a rock for 8 years. 😁
You will not be disappointed with your 997.
In fact you'll love it! Well done on a fab choice.
