Drivers Window issue.

I've tried the search, but I'm not sure what it's called.
The issue is when I open the door the window would drop, and once you close the door it would then go up again. The issue is now when I open the door, it drops and then a second later it goes back up again. To close the door i need to hold the handle in the open position until the door closes and then I can release the handle, allowing the window to do what it would normally do.
How do I reset it so it works normally again?

fault code read out of the drivers door control unit then i expect it will be a problem with the door lock ass... it sees the lock as shut but the handle overrides it until released .

This sort of thing is diagnosed with a tester im afraid .. we can see the actual values of the micro switches and say which one is not correct .

Thanks Iain
I'll get a tester on it

Cost reduction back....I'm all about that :thumb:
Thanks for the heads up

It must be something in the air as mines been playing up as well.

Window goes up to about 3/4 then stops and goes back down again as if somethings stopped it. Then if you push the switch up and hold it, it goes all the way up.
Don't want to have a Phil situation where it's stuck down in the rain and snow and you've got to drive across 2 countries, not funny :nooo:

That is unfortunately the roll back function kicking in when its not supposed to .

In theory it can be down to a tight runner .. in reality it's a new window motor / control unit .. all the same part .

997 fault only .
