Hi All
Hope everyone's enjoying gorgeous weather.

Just a noob question!!
My check brake light warning came on the dash.
I changed the bulb (correct v and w as original) however the warning message hasnt cleared, any ideas?

Id be shocked if its intelligent enough to only look for OEM bulbs
:?

the car looks for a certain resistance of the bulb , from the message then it could be either side .. i thought it would list the side that's inop but it seems not .

Change both brake light bulbs and see how you get on ..

It can be down to a resistance in the wiring , poor bulb contacts etc but start with ther bulbs .

In theory a halford bulb is no different to a Porsche one .. they don't after all make their own bulbs but it's possible what you have fitted is not good enough resistance wise .

awesome and thanks.
Yes seems like it was a bad batch of bulb as i bought another and all seems fine.

Thanks again
