GT3 Replica Seats

I have the same ones from D911.

The carbon and overall construction seems good and they are decently made (Rigid). They do sit quite tight. I am not fat but not slim either.

I think the seat is narrower than OEM, whether its the actual carbon seat or the padding, I am not sure.

I had them retrimmed and some padding around the kidneys removed. I also added the Porsche crest to the headrests.

They were originally the suede option as it was the cheapest and I knew I was retrimming. The standard seatbelt receptacle fits on the outside as opposed to the genuine on the inside. The genuine stalk is longer. Because of this the seat sits on the base slightly offset as I didn't want it rubbing along the centre console. I may try the longer stalk later, but either way I think it would be a tight fit on the inside unless further padding was removed.

I have them fitted on a BBI base.

Would I do it again, yes.

Thank you for that very detailed reply.

I had planned on getting them retrimmed myself
As I presume the leather they come with is not
Up to standard. I'm not too worried about the width
As I spend a lot of my time sitting in rally cars anyway
So it wont be out of the normal for me.

I did also think about removing/shaping the padding to
Allow the buckle fit inside the seat.

If the shell is of good quality I might go ahead with it.

Hi
I put these in my 997 Turbo, great seats. The so called Alcantara on mine was not great. I had them re done in genuine Alcantara and added heated seat elements.

How much roughly do you spend on getting them retrimmed out of interest?

Hi
Around £480.00, I doubled the foam inserts which made them very comfortable!

Cheers Kam, did you just retrim the centers and if so what is the
quality of the leather like? is it even proper leather?

The leather was fine, think it was real!
