Carrera S Chassis Number

I'm in the market for a 997.1 Carrera 2S and I would like to know how
the chassis number should read for an S model over a standard Carrera.

I'm not sure you'd even find a 'chassis number' on a 997.

Confirmation that a car is an S would be found by the 'type number' written underneath the VIN No in the service book. eg. A C2 Coupe would be 997 111 and a C2S would be 997 121.

Research will tell you the visible differences between the two cars but if you're not sure the easiest way would be to tell an OPC the Vin No and ask them to check.

Cheers for the reply, when I say chassis No I mean VIN, I'm just an
old skool type :D

I can confirm it was a 121 code.
